Adulthood appears to unfold in two phases. The first half of life is typically focused on building identity and striving toward external goals — finding meaningful work, forming relationships, or creating a home. These years are often marked by a focus on achievement and how we are perceived by others. However, as we move into the second half of life priorities that once seemed essential may lose their significance. This mid-life transition can be a time of uncertainty or lostness dominated by the troubling thought, ‘there must be more to life than this?’

If you’re feeling distressed, confused, or stuck, you’re not alone. These feelings, while challenging, are not necessarily problems to be fixed or symptoms to be cured. Instead, they may be valuable guides and messengers. By paying deep attention and listening with care, we can begin to understand what they are asking of you.

Transpersonal psychotherapy supports this inquiry by accessing aspects of your being that may not always be available to everyday consciousness. Through working with myth, symbols, dreams, active imagination, and somatic inquiry, we can explore what is emerging, reconnecting you with your innate wisdom and fostering meaningful change.

This approach honours the natural inclination within every person to grow toward wisdom, tolerance, and a deepened capacity to love and be loved. Through this exploration, we can discover new ways of living, rooted in humanity, authenticity, and the mystery beyond.
